· Low pressure centrifugal fans

Fans are considered as low pressure when its static pressure rise is below 300 mm.W.G.

These fans are in most of the cases designed to move great flows .

This is the category of fans in which the width of the blades, when measured in the direction of the rotation axis, is of greater value when comparing wheels of the same diameter. This is also true for de ratio air inlet diameter to wheel diameter.
This features are technically resumed stating that this is the group of fans of highest specific speed.

Main fields of application:

  • Maritime and terrestrial boilers
  • Forced draft fans
  • Induced draft fans
  • Gas recirculation fans
  • Industrial ventilation in general
  • Fans for the mining industry

Our EHSL rotors have AIRFOIL streamlined blades and can reach 90% efficiency. Their characteristic curve is of auto limited (non overloading) power.

This double inlet fan has a split casing , thus allowing the view of the wheel and the inlet vanes that pre-rotate the air at the inlets.

Impeller of an EHSL type forced draft fan. This is a double inlet fan supported by "SLEEVE BEARING" blocks.
Besides the AIRFOIL type blades, the low pressure fans can be fitted with blades of another classes, all backward inclined and therefore of auto limited power consumption, depending on the fluid handled:
  1. Hollow double thickness blade of high backwards curvature.
          Efficiency up to 88%
  2. Single thickness blade of high backwards curvature.
          Efficiency up to 88%
  3. Single thickness blade of moderate backwards curvature.
          Efficiency up to 86%
  4. Single thickness flat blade, inclined backwards
          Efficiency up to 85%

Each fan is driven by a 132 Kw at 740 r.p.m. motor and moves a volume flow of 60 m3/sec against a pressure of 150 mm.W.G.
